The holidays are always an exciting time of year for my family and me. However, this year will feel different as we are all having to reconstruct what “the Holidays” will look and feel like during a pandemic. I have been finding myself thinking about the ways I can move through this holiday season that is new, fresh, creative and exciting. For example, I am thinking about ways to create new a look in my condo….right now! Maybe I should paint a couple of walls, rearrange furniture, buy a rug…go to storage and pull out the holiday decor or go on the hunt for another amazing object. The need for “normalcy” is so deep and yet, we all are finding the strength to work within our lived realities, to be safe, creative, and reminding ourselves that despite all…we will be okay.
However you prepare for this season, the tips below will help to bring in a new perspective, add joy and lift your spirit as we enter into this festive season.
Tip #1: Find an Amazing Garment! I am all about retail therapy and of course with all of the Black Friday deals already underway, coupled with online buying and curbside pick-up options, you really can’t go wrong.

Tip #3: Find a Beautiful Object. Maybe you desire something new to add to your living room decor or repositioning an object you already have to a different space. Which ever you decide, you will notice how that small shift really re-energizes your spirit.

Tip #5: Add Plants. It’s an instant uplift to a tired space that is both beautiful and affordable. You can go real or faux. It’s up to you, but plants in any space really lifts your mood and elevates your decor. Go to your local plant nursery, or get some beautiful plants and herbs from Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods or Home Depot.
